Philip Lee Gardner was born and lived on a farm in Indiana. He is a part of a family of preachers as his father , his three brothers and his brother-in-law as well as he himself were part of the ministry in one phase or another. He graduated from Mays High School in Mays, Indiana and then from Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Mo. Later he received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree for the work he did in India, Russia and Haiti. His ministries have been for churches with membership from 15 to 1,100. A lot of his time was spent in counseling.
